I didn’t just create a style — I brought a childhood memory to life.
Jumprope Wicks™ were born from the colorful, segmented jump rope I used as a kid. Each block of color stuck in my mind, even as I grew into adulthood — and into myself. When I started my loc journey, I had all-natural wicks. They strong, but to me, they felt… boring. I wanted to add color. I wanted boldness. But not that ombré look everybody was rocking — that not me.
So I looked back — to that jump rope.
